Kiss Me Amnesia

A cinematic music video filmed in Seattle, directed by Roskamala in collaboration with Smokescreen Media. The project brought together 7 actors and 9 crew members, weaving passion and precision into every frame.

As her directorial debut, Roskamala served not only as director but also as the creative lead, writing the original song and screenplay, designing costumes, and shaping the visual language of the film.

The story follows a young man haunted by the weight of his past. Despite his efforts to numb and forget, shame and memory resurface in surreal fragments, blurring the lines between reality and repression.

With layered symbolism and raw emotion, Kiss Me Amnesia explores the invisible patterns we carry in love. The ones shaped by longing, silence, and unresolved wounds.

Chameleon

Filmed in Los Angeles as part of Roskamala’s Truth She Told EP, Chameleon was one of four music videos created in just 11 days. Each video featured vivid archetypes, from a robotic figure to a life-sized doll to a femme fatale, crafted to explore emotional depth through stylized storytelling. In Chameleon, Roskamala portrays a devoted mother caught in a toxic relationship. Torn between her love for family and the pull of self-worth, the character’s heartbreaking conflict reveals that justice is not always served.

Roskamala wrote the screenplay, developed the narrative concept, and starred in the video. The single Chameleon from the same EP won 1st Place for Performance in the 2023 International Songwriting Competition (ISC), with its music video receiving an Honorable Mention. Press described the track as “the most deeply intense song we have ever listened to.”

Out Of The Maze

A whimsical yet heartfelt music video filmed in Los Angeles. Directed by Zane and creatively led by Roskamala, the film follows a lonely robot navigating the strangeness of human life, craving nothing more than a quiet cup of coffee with someone who truly sees her.

Each morning begins with crankiness, eased only by her beloved brew. Surrounded by distracted roommates and an aching sense of disconnection, she embarks on a quiet journey of self-discovery. With no one to share her “smooth coffee” with, she learns to embrace her quirks, develop human-like traits, and redefine what it means to belong.

Roskamala wrote the script and brought the character to life on screen. Her creative fingerprints are woven throughout, from narrative and tone to emotional arc, infusing the project with her signature blend of playfulness and depth.

Loving Mess

A chaotic love story set in a candy-colored world where nothing is as it seems. Most girls dream of becoming a real-life Barbie but not this one. Meet ‘R’ Barbie, a doll who longs to love and be loved, and who’s tired of being a puppet for others to control. Programmed without the ability to feel, she sends signal after signal to her crush, hoping love might finally break her strings. But when chaos and desire collide, can a mess like her ever have a happy ending?

The video brings surreal humor and tenderness together. Roskamala wrote the original song and screenplay, crafted the concept and characters, and starred as R Barbie, an awkward, rigid figure caught between perfection and personhood. True to her creative motto, “The world is her playground,” Roskamala used this tale to explore the absurdities of adult love and the deep human longing to feel real in a filtered world.

Beautiful Disease

An introspective exploration of the mind where thoughts arise beyond our control, yet the choice of what to do with them remains ours. This piece reflects the battle within: observing, overthinking, believing, letting go, or taking action. It invites us to witness the mind without becoming it.

Roskamala embodies the skeptical, critical voice, and the echo of thoughts we all encounter but are not defined by. Her performance is a reminder that peace doesn’t come from controlling every thought, but from choosing which ones to follow.
